Other Accessories

Square base plates, plum washers, formwork couplers, mountain disc nuts, combination and connecting nuts, waling profiles, pin and wedge sets, brace return hooks and 3-part tie rod assemblies.

Not every part on site belongs to a system. This series collects the washers, plates, couplers and fittings that hold a formwork set together in practice: square base plates and plum washers spreading load under nuts, formwork couplers joining bars, mountain disc nuts and combination nuts for tie rod ends, connecting nuts for extending rods, waling profiles, pin and wedge sets, brace return hooks, and the 3-part tie rod assembly. Mixed containers and custom sizes are quoted on request.

Square Base Plate

Square Base Plate

Hot-dip galvanized base plates with matched anchor sets for foundations.

  • Hole matched to D15–D26.5 rods
  • Hot-stamped carbon steel
Plum Washer

Plum Washer

Plum (corrugated) washers that lock the wing nut against vibration.

  • D15 / D20 tie rods
  • Lobed thread-gripping profile
  • Heat-treated spring steel
Formwork Waling

Formwork Waling

Steel walers with pre-drilled tie rod holes for wall formwork.

  • Twin 10#/12# channel welded construction
  • 11.54 kN·m bending / 84.81 kN shear typical
  • Pre-punched tie-rod holes

The parts that make the system fit together

This range covers what holds the main components in line: square base plates that spread nut load into soft concrete or timber, plum washers that resist loosening under vibration, couplers that join scaffold tube and prop lengths, waling profiles that carry the tie load along the wall, pin-and-wedge sets that lock corners, and 3-part tie assemblies for walls that must be made good after stripping. Individually they are small; missing, they stop a pour.

Sizes that actually match your rods

Plates and washers are only useful if the hole matches the rod: square base plates come 100×100×8 mm as standard with 50×50 and 120×120 mm options, with the hole matched to D15–D26.5 rods, flat or dome profile, hot-stamped carbon steel. Waling profiles are twin 10#/12# channel welded construction with a typical 11.54 kN·m bending capacity and 84.81 kN shear, pre-punched with tie-rod holes, in lengths 1.5–6 m. Couplers are pressed steel in slip or swivel type across the common tube diameters. State the rod diameter and the tube size when ordering rather than the part name alone.

Consolidate with the main order

Small parts are where a shipment becomes incomplete: a container of rods that arrives without the right plates delays the pour as surely as a missing clamp. We consolidate plates, washers, couplers and wedges into the same shipment as rods and nuts, packed by type in marked cartons on pallets. Stock sizes ship in about three days; waling profiles and cut-to-length items take 7–15 days. Send the full bill of materials and we will flag any part that does not match the rod or tube it is meant to fit before the order is confirmed.

Technical FAQ

Other Accessories — Answers for Engineers and Buyers

A formwork tie rod is a high-strength threaded bar that, together with nuts, anchor plates and walers, holds formwork panels against the lateral pressure of fresh concrete. It passes through the wall section and is either fully recovered after stripping (through-tie used with a sleeve) or permanently embedded (lost-end / water-stop type).
