Heavy Duty Clamp
High clamping force for heavy formwork and large precast elements.
- High clamping force
- For heavy formwork and large precast elements
- Stable, reliable structure
Wedge clamps, column clamps, heavy duty clamps, quick clamps, brace hooks, TP square washers, frame connectors, pin and wedge sets, 3-part tie assemblies and waling locks.
Steel frame systems are held together by small locking parts. This series covers the wedge clamps that lock panels to walers, the column and heavy duty clamps, quick-release clamps, brace return hooks, TP square washers, frame connectors, pin-and-wedge sets, plus the 3-part tie rod assembly and the waling lock assembly. Custom shapes and sizes are made to your drawing.
High clamping force for heavy formwork and large precast elements.
Adjustable, reusable clamp for fast column formwork assembly.

Aligns and locks the joint between two steel frame panels; wedge-driven, keeps the panel face flat.
Stamped steel BFD clamp for heavier panel joints; wedge lock with a wide hook opening.
Compact stamped BFD clamp for edge joints, internal corners and short panels.
Spreads clamping load and protects panels; TP1010 / TP1212 / TP1515.
Fast assembly and stripping of formwork, improves on-site efficiency.
Joins scaffold and formwork systems with clear load transfer.
Tie rod, lock nut and pressure plate clamp the waling to the formwork.
Steel and aluminium frame systems are only as stiff as their locking parts. Alignment clamps hold the panel-to-panel joint flush before the pour, wedge clamps lock panels back to the walers, column clamps square and brace a column form, heavy duty clamps take the higher loads on large panels, quick clamps speed stripping on high-turnover sites, brace return hooks tie the brace back to the frame, and pin-and-wedge sets lock the corners. One missing or loose clamp shows up as a bulge or a blown joint — which is why these parts are bought by the hundred, not by the piece.
Clamps are profile-specific before they are load-specific: the BFD alignment clamp fits Trio-type steel frame panel profiles, and other clamps are matched to the panel flange depth and the waler section on your drawing. Drive type matters for labour cost — a steel driving wedge needs no spanner and strips faster than a bolted clamp. Column clamps are sized to the column section and the pour height. For aluminium systems the cast wing nut in QT450 with a 120×120 mm plate carries around 180 kN breaking load, and the lighter 100 mm version around the same load at 530 g. Send the panel profile or a photo and we match the clamp to it rather than to a generic size.
These parts are consumables on site, so most orders are by the hundred or the thousand. Standard clamps and wedges ship from stock in about three days; special profiles and castings made to drawing take 7–15 days. Castings are QT450-10 ductile iron with a black or electro-galvanized finish. Because a missing clamp stops a pour, we recommend ordering 5–10% spares with the main quantity, and mixed clamp-and-wedge orders are consolidated into one pallet so the site store receives a complete set.
A formwork tie rod is a high-strength threaded bar that, together with nuts, anchor plates and walers, holds formwork panels against the lateral pressure of fresh concrete. It passes through the wall section and is either fully recovered after stripping (through-tie used with a sleeve) or permanently embedded (lost-end / water-stop type).
