Getting a quote without a round of questions
A quote is only as good as the specification behind it. These are the details that decide price, lead time and whether the part will assemble on site.
- Product and drawing reference, or a clear description of the part
- Diameter or thread form, and the overall length
- Property class or required rated capacity
- Surface finish with a thickness range if corrosion life matters
- Quantity per size, and whether it repeats
- Packing requirement and destination port or site
- Certification required, for example EN 10204 3.1
- Target delivery date and whether it is a stock or custom item
What happens next
- Stock items are confirmed against the warehouse on the day of the enquiry
- Custom sizes are priced with a lead time of 7-15 days after drawing approval
