When there is no far face to tie against

A one-side form is used where the back of the wall is unreachable — a wall cast against an existing structure, a basement wall on a boundary line, a later pour against a cured wall, or a lift shaft. There is no through-tie, so the tie load has to go back into the concrete already placed. The embedded bolt is cast into the first pour with a J or L hook so the anchorage is mechanical, and the adjustable prop braces the form and sets plumb on the open side. Getting the embedment position right in the first pour is what makes the second pour line up.

Position template before diameter

Diameter (12–36 mm) and length are custom to your drawing, but the part that decides whether the system works is the positioning template that holds the embedded bolts at the correct spacing and projection during the first pour. Order the template with the anchors — retrofitting embedment positions on site is what causes misalignment. Anchor plates and nuts are specified with the bolt, and the adjustable prop is sized to the form height and the bracing load. Send the wall section and tie spacing and we return a bolt layout with projection dimensions for approval before manufacture.

Custom from drawing

One-side systems are always made to order: 7–15 days from approved drawing, since diameter, length, hook form and plate size all vary by project. Both the embedded bolt and the adjustable prop are supplied as a matched set so the projection on the bolt matches the prop’s bearing point. Export packing is per bundle with the layout drawing marked per bundle, so the site can identify which bolts go to which wall without unpacking everything.
